LBX Food Robotics has announced that its Bake Xpress hot food kiosk has achieved full certification from Underwriter’s Laboratory (UL) for the U.S. market and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) for Canadian locations. The certification was conducted by TÜV Rhineland and ensures that the hot food vending solution meets international standards for performance, safety, and reliability.
While the components of the Bake Xpress machine were already individually certified, certain locations such as government facilities, transportation hubs, and hospitals require the full machine to be certified. The completion of certification now allows Bake Xpress to expand its reach to these high-volume locations.
Bake Xpress, known for its high-quality food offerings, has recently opened its first U.S. airport and hospital locations. Benoit Herve, the founder and CEO of LBX Food Robotics, highlighted the company’s commitment to quality, both in the food it delivers and the machine’s design. He expressed confidence in the four years of continuous operation and emphasized that the UL and CSA certifications are significant milestones for LBX.
LBX Food Robotics is also anticipating receiving full CE certification for European markets, which is a requirement for all electronic equipment deployed within the European Union. This further expands the potential market for the Bake Xpress kiosk.
The key feature of Bake Xpress is its smart oven, which combines infrared, convection, and microwave technologies to bake a variety of meals, pastries, and snacks on demand. This allows the kiosk to deliver restaurant-quality results, such as pizzas with crispy crusts, evenly heated and browned pastries, pasta, sandwiches, and more.
Furthermore, LBX offers its customers the option to fully customize the machine and menu, enabling them to extend their brand, utilize existing contracts, and optimize the end-user experience.
Since its establishment in 2015 as Le Bread Xpress, LBX Food Robotics has installed Bake Xpress kiosks globally in universities, hotels, hospitals, retail centers, airports, factories, and office parks. The machines have been in continuous operation since 2019, providing customers with convenient and high-quality food options.
