LG CNS, a leading IT services and solutions provider, has announced its collaboration with XYZ Robotics, an artificial intelligence-based robotics solution company, to enhance its warehouse robotics business. The partnership aims to jointly promote robotics solutions for logistics centers in Korea.
XYZ Robotics is recognized for its innovative technology in the field of 3D visions and grippers, which are closely linked to the visual perception and manipulation capabilities of robots. With this expertise, the company will facilitate the implementation of palletizing robots for logistics operations, enabling efficient storage and stacking of various goods on cargo pallets. Additionally, depalletizing robots will be employed to transfer goods from cargo carriers to other locations, such as conveyor belts. Furthermore, piece picking robots will be used for the packaging and sorting of individual items.
In July, LG CNS introduced the Robot Integrated Operation Platform, a comprehensive system that simplifies the management of multiple robots on a single platform. As part of the collaboration, XYZ Robotics’ solutions will be integrated into LG CNS’ platform. Moreover, LG CNS will offer Robotics as a Service (RaaS), enabling customers to utilize various robotics solutions provided by the platform on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The initial phase of the project involves the application of palletizing and depalletizing robots to e-commerce logistics centers in Korea. Moving forward, LG CNS and XYZ Robotics plan to expand their business scope by implementing their robotics solutions across a broader range of industries and sectors.
Overall, this collaboration between LG CNS and XYZ Robotics signifies a significant step towards the advancement and widespread adoption of robotics technology in Korean logistics centers, enhancing efficiency and streamlining operations.
